| I was fascinated by (what I interpreted as) your description of human existence as an endless cycle in which all three tenses coexist and serve as background for our spiritual becoming. The title caught my eye due precisely to the redundancy implied, and I believe it suits the mystical atmosphere of the poem. I dare say it even has a bit of a biblical touch, as it reminded me of all those family trees spanning over centuries in The Old Testament. Life alternates with death on and on and the self stretches from one side of the eternity to the other. This is how I see it. Anyhow, a beautiful and life-affirming poem. Cheers | |

| Diana,I've chosen this title for its mystical conotations, the seventh son of the seventh son was believed (in cultures that regarded 7 as significant) to have varying degrees of magical powers such as being able to foretell the future, all the way up to having the powers of a full-blown wizard (or equivalent). | First time when I saw the title of your poem, my thought ran to Iron Maiden's album with the same name. Now I see the poem more like a ritual that is strongly connected to the legends about the Seventh Son. Though, Iron Maiden's album is built on the same issues. Very interesting. | |
