a little to young to be a homophobe. homosexuals are Romanians too. open your mind!!! or else you'll become this : http://www.agonia.net/index.php/poetry/1784924/index.html

ps: homosexuality has been legalized in Romania. I think you meant legalizing marriage between homosexuals.

...indeed, I should hope not! In Spain (the country pioneered on this field) and in Norway marriage between homosexuals is legalized. As a Christian believer I'm all for that reform because it supports long-term stable and loving relationships. One may of course quarrel about God's words here. Theologians with separate views on this issue will usually be able to find verses in the scriptures that support their own way of thinking.

Romanian essence....?
I would never use the expression "Norwegian essence."

"I think you meant legalizing marriage between homosexuals."
(Dan Marius)

Yes, this is what I meant. I am opened-minded, I do know that many intellectuals, geniuses, inventors were homosexuals. I do oppose this because humans can only procreate if there is one woman and one man, and marriage is exactly this - the union of a woman with a man. I do know that there are certain cases even in the animal kingdom of homosexual behavior or bisexual behavior. However because we are intelligent beings, contemplative human beings (templum homo sapiens sapiens) we can overcome our instincts. Sexual drives are instincts.

Children are a problem as well in homosexual or lesbian marriage.

1. it's not about sexual drive or the "immaculate" and flawless institution of marriage. it's about love (failed to read that in your comment).
2. marriage should be the union of lovers regardless of race religion or sexual orientation
3. the "urge" to procreate is also an instinct.
4. children are more of a problem in millions of dysfunctional families all over this country. Alcohol, the use of drugs, physical & sexual abuse etc are present in your everyday heterosexual marriages.

think about it

...what Dan Marius says here. And another thing; what's this
fixation on nationalism? Please clarify your view on that field, Bogdan!

I will think more on this subject.

I love my culture, history and people; even so I do enjoy english, american, german, french, indian (etc) literature and philosophy. I say that all nations can and must learn from each other and to put in practice everything they have learned, but only what is necessary and moral. No nation should -copy- other nations immoral theories or practices; as we tend to do now (now I do not mean homosexual or lesbian marriage)

I agree with you Dan Marius on all points. And as well love is an instinct (If I can say so) - every thought, action, emotion, instinct comes from the brain - not from the heart. Love appears not as thoughts or actions - when you choose to, as any other instinct.

I want to write and talk about another dimension of Romania - from a macro level. From a non-existing-time dimensions. I have read many articles in which different people, intellectuals or journalists criticize our daily life. And... yes, I agree with some. However there must be an equilibrium. If a person reads every day in a newspaper, or turns on the TV and sees only crime, death, sickness then that person`s psychic deteriorates slowly or fast - depending on the person.

Bogdan,
firstly - you are contradicting yourself within your own text: "we have accepted everything, however we will never accept..." so there are things not included in "our everything". suggestion: make up your mind.
secondly - freedom comes with a price or many. Romanian people will learn that in time...suggestion: be patient.

Another point... As a French, I 'd like to know why you focused on the employement problem in France. I married a Romanian woman and I know that everything is not easy for her in her daily life but it's not harder for a Romanian to live in France than in others European countries. Many Romanian live and work in France and they have to face the same problems that Spanish people, for example, had to face 20 years ago when Spain entered the EEC. There are French idiots, as everywhere, but France has no global problem with Romania. I think that Romanian like you have maybe forgotten to be patient and that things are always built, never given. I totally agree with Corina and I'm a little disappointed that a person who has interests in Philosophy, History, Politics (as I read in your biography) don't know that... I'll not deal with homosexuality : after all, you are free to be reluctant to homosexual weddings and Agonia is not the ideal place to debate on this kind of topic !
P.S. : which period do you refer when you write that many Romanian people died for France ? Do you refer to World War One ?
