= parker, the saxophonist? | alina livia lazãr [31.May.08 14:20] |
a text made of sounds. I like this: "Bebop was running faster than the noise of a thought" even if I saw it like: Bebop was running faster than the sound of a thought imagining that we have a good and postive thought that almost sings :) (anyway, "sound" is maybe too predictable)

...about the Music of Parker, Baker, Monk, Gillespie...music that I love, born out of the ever present urge for creation. ....Salt peeeaaanuts! Hep! Hep! Willy

Hi Livia! Indeed is Parker, the saxophonist, but more than that, the poem is dedicated to the bebop style, which increased the speed of jazz, the amateurs weren't able to keep the rhythm with the professionals, not even the dancers were capable to dance with such speed and became a style more for listening, not dancing - it reached a higher level, it was an experiment that couldn't be kept under control (in the good way I mean). About the "sound of a thought" I will let it the way it is, because the idea was to sound a little bit sharp. Anyway, thank you very much for your kind comment and you're always welcome. Sincerely, Marius

Hi my friend! I am glad you liked it and those guys really changes something in the shape of jazz - it took jazz to a higher level than it was before, and you are right: "in the urge for creation". I like your funny and welcome comments Willy - they bring smiles on my face. Cheers, hep-hep and peaaanutssssss, and some bebop listening!
