| all the makings of a great poem: masterful use of literary paraphernalia, tastefully alluding to contemporary angst. behind it all, the bigger questions, more or less unanswered, provide polyphony for a meditation on the human condition and "the little things" we do to avoid dealing with it. just the opening put me off a little, it's kind of a little self centered joke that i don't see fitting in with the rest in short, it's a mature poem, perfect blend of technical resources and artistic sensibility | |
