Nice… song! That was a very interesting thing to do, trying to translate it, but… why don’t you try rendering the author’s ideas instead of looking up the words in dictionary and arrange them in the exact order… it’s like you put your computer to instate translate the poetry. What’s next? ‘You vegetable, don’t revolt’ for another song of his or: ‘maybe I have a stupid karma’ for his new song? I didn’t mean to be ironic, but lyrics and their meaning are much more important than the form in itself. If you succeed in expressing the same feelings, fears, the same drama in a form that is artistically valuable as well, that’s great, but the meaning is way more important and I bet you could have done a really beautiful translation for this song, and you could have tried harder, because I suppose you liked it…I, for one, don’t feel any particular emotion when reading the English words, and these lyrics usually make me cry, or fly… Imagine somebody not knowing the song… I don’t think he’s really taken aback. But he should be. Don’t you think?
