It seems to me that the woonded self is preparing for an upcoming battle. Am I right? A magic ritual to prepare the spirit for what is yet to come. Interesting how you are both the master and the apprentice. It makes the understanding of the poem more difficult.
You seem quite eloquent in "Thoughts", though.
