Literary Translation - Translations of classic and original poetry and other materialsThis text is a follow-up  |

I turned around crying:
Where is my life?
God, what have you done with me, so that I can sweep with my soul your nature of things?
Why did you allow me to see the arbor, God?
And, in general, why did you un-root me, building me feet with wide soles?
Why did you curse me to hunger and thirst?
Why have you betrothed me, God, making me yearn for the woman I love?
Come, God, and die for once, as well
so I can be certain that I'll perish in peace,
unbetrothed, and filled with longing, in my longing filled soul.
