Highway patrols in Nevada, Oregon
and California
are alert tonight
tracking down a couple of Monsanto
genetically modified bacteria
which is believed to have eloped
into the wild;
first to get a marriage license in Las Vegas,
then taking a space trip
right from the Extraterrestrial Highway.


We can expect at least
a paparazzi roundup and
tomorrow’s papers headlines:
“Meet me in St. Louis”,
if the larvae die.

Critics say, genetic engineering may cause
the spread of dangerous bacteria.
Not to worry: we have
legions of citizens out there
ready to form a posse
in order to track down
whatever dangerous might be.
