= Simply romantic! | Luminita Suse [22.Jan.04 03:50] |
I liked the final strophe but… I must confess that the whole poem seems to be a romantic English exercise. Could you go beyond those cliches and produce a modern poem?

Do not get me wrong, what I wrote above applies to my English poetry, as well! I am trying hard to improve...

Right below the title, it clearly states: "This text is a follow-up" Follow-up means translation. Therefore, it is not a modern english poem, but a translation. Not modern. I don't want to make modern poems. My poems are what they are, cliches or not. My poems express my feelings, once again: cliches or not. Everybody loves, right? So it is, indeed, a cliche. But I thank you for your thoughts, good or bad, and your attention. It is indeed a work-in-progress poem, and I'm planning on reviewing it, but for now it is what it is. A romantic exercise, if that's what you wish to call it. And the answer to your question is: No, I couldn't, because if I could then I would have already. Still I find it quite interesting that you ask me such an upsetting question, please tell me: did you read any other poems of mine? Or is this question strictly about this poem?
