The seven winners, who have been chosen from across Britain to perform with poet and MC Joelle Taylor, will be slamming and rapping on the theme of identity. The young performers, aged 13-19, will be taking part in the festival which is the first 'virtual' poetry festival linking up poets via satellite from around the world. Poets will perform in a 40-minute chain, passing the baton between the likes of New York and Tblisi, Berlin and Skye, and then to the Poetry Society’s studio in London. This event will be able to be viewed online here at the Scottish StAnza Poetry Festival all day from 1pm to 10pm on the 14th November, or at the Byre Theatre, in St Andrews. Our SLAMbassadors reading is between 15:40 and 16:20.
