This project was born from the need to bring forward the roots and the dynamics of the actual authorial resources, not just the critics and the side-talks pertaining to the literary works.

Cultural Crossroads is a cooperation project between the group group "MA Programme for the Translation of the Contemporary Literary Text - Bucharest University" coordinated by Lidia Vianu and agonia.net with the help of Veronica Valeanu.

While certain aspects may adapt and change as we progress, we expect this project to be an ample international endeavor coordinated in English with the main corespondent language being Romanian. Other universities of the world will be contacted in this regard and invited to join.

Our aim through this project is to improve and extend the current interface and to launch a platform for permanent guests from the academic environment so that agonia.net will become an actual civil society for the authors of the world.

The content will be based on translations of contemporary authors, with a focus on the current intellectual mainstream.
Members are invited and expected to contribute with essays and various articles and reviews of all related genre. One would also expect to find here various interviews with contemporary writers.

More details will follow as all the bits and pieces of the puzzle will be put together.
