I believe that Mankind needs more feeling, more higher emotions. Raw Rationalism has filled people´s minds with information, however people are still unhappy. The PostModern Era has long been among us, and many fellows have not realised the urge to drink from Beauty, Poetry and Emotion.
A merciless, pitiless system turns people into cyphers, efforts into Dollars (or Euros, or Pounds or Yens), the meaning of life can be traded for wealth - temporary wealth - Memento: ALL WE ARE IS DUST IN THE WIND Will we ever look our neighbours into their eyes, recognise actual human beings, NEIGHBOURS, in them, again? Have we? Will we be the ones to take first step ahead? In this context, I recall a song from the Album FAREWELL TO THE KINGS (Rush, 1977), called simply CLOSER TO THE HEART, Words by Neil Peart and Peter Talbot, Music by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, that goes as follows: And the men who hold high places Must be the ones to start To mould a new reality Closer to the heart The blacksmith and the artist Reflect it in their art Forge their creativity Closer to the heart Philosophers and ploughmen Each must know his part To sow a new mentality Closer to the heart You can be the captain I will draw the chart Sailing into destiny Closer to the heart. - Please... Reflect and Think on It---
