THOUGHTS…
by Sorana Lucia Salomeia To the immensity and freedom of the ocean The shores are the only borders That are being stolen away And blurred into enigmatic dreams… In the sphere of calm and stillness The wave comes as the only tempest That spreads its chills and torment All over neat tranquility. In a world of clamour Our words are the silence That break it and tear it apart – We speak the language of silence. If unhappiness is our horizon, Then it takes happiness in its embrace – We are the misfortunate masters Of our own fate, For there is no self – defensive weapon, We are the victims of our own selves. If your trust in a deceiving truth Freezes your lips to silence, If reality is nothing but betrayal, Forget about the truth and its mendacious valences And regain it in the moment of your departure From this world. If, humiliated and deceived, You leave this land Trembling and weeping, Regain your own self when you see me. Maybe one has to go through hell first Before reaching the heavens… Could that be the bridge Above the stream of disappearance, Could that be the price we have to pay? And if the world we live in Is hell, Then I wonder: where does this hell end And where does heaven begin? Copyrighted © Sorana Salomeia, Iasi, Romania
