ROOTS
by Sorana Lucia Salomeia Silent tears Of the millions of lost footsteps Have been pouring, one by one, From the ceiling Of this deserted cave, Giving birth to darkened springs That carry inside themselves The sound of the falling drops. These walls have preserved Inside their cold stones The history of unknown centuries, The core within which The waves were born And then breathed over the spring. Hidden in the shadow of time, The roots of the spring Reach out with a whisper, Emanating the mysterious sap From the depths of time. Copyrighted © Sorana Salomeia, Iasi, Romania
