The condensation inside the steamed goblet/
Blood red wine I watched you from the top of my nose With the smoke rising from my cigarette My chilly lips are talking The taste of the blood red wine Tickles my Shivering/trembling body The taste of the wine comforts my Taste buds But, the time doesn’t With all my longing I am watching you From the waves of the blood red wines Bubbly table I could swim in the freezing waters To your freely inviting home Inspite of the wine To the sea which is you The minute I am drunk And this much thirsty It’s not easy to extinguish Believe me I tried All the sweeteners None of them are near to your purity And beauty Finally when that last Marvelous sip touches my lips I get excited... Oh no...I want to drink you Eternally... I want to hold you in my hands That blood red wine stemmed goblet I want to watch you from the top of my nose With the tickling smoke rising from my cigarette Eventually, could you make me believe? That I am not going to be thirsty Never again! Gunsel Djemal 14/6/2009 – Bromley Road-London
