The darkest winter turns thy lips so cold:
Unfold thy roses my bride And open I chambers of frost in my soul, With shivering teeth... to kiss you one last time Night after night, without a tear, Travel I back the lonely steps of time, Hold on thy chest: this weary rose of mine Which bleeds thy hands as cold as lifeā¦ Beyond the wounds, thou felt the shivers Of frozen shadows warped in bitter sweetness, Come forth the night, thy wings unfolded: The pen that wrote those ashy lipsā¦ Such eyes as daggers glued to paper rush Behind the catacombs of a light-bulb sun, The cold shalt come and sure to bring: The fever of my dawn...
