Temptation may live in a jar
Still filled with the same scars Strangers don't appeal to me with threats disguised in a cookie My sweets lay under my pillow take shape in a dream flow My body stays slim, my mind sharp but elusive hopes ache my heart As I play along the deceitful strange cookies stay ungrateful I carry the burden of a hurt child So I learned to live on the other side Each and other day bound to induce My own way to find truce No wonder I ate so many nuts With their imprint of forget me not Eating cookies is no longer for me A full meal now is what I fancy Redone on November 17th, 2012 Copyright ©2012 Johanne Farmer
