I am so hungry for light…
I could change hearts to candles and torches, Every street in this city of Might Would receive scents of flammable scorches. I am so thirsty for water… I could drink mountains’ lava and rain, Even thickening tears of laughter, Boisterous blisters of pain. I am so craving for peace… I could silence the stones and the stumps, With my humble, transitional “lease” I would calm all the swelling and lumps. I am so hungry, so thirsty, so craving… For a life to be given to me. My so feeble a soul has been begging For the last slice, the bread of TO BE.
