Utopia flavours a strange sound
under the midnight bells Irony flavours the unbound and here my longing spells My healthy heart beats the heaviness the echo of my emptiness Long ago I mixed flavours of spice Thinking it would suffice to bathe in the divine and skip the passing of time My soul feverish in splendour for the taste of wild odours In abandonment, I touched life’s passion with no reason to censor the fullness of my vigour My head vibrates in private when conversation is loose and unfolds keys of truce A promised idea of human spectacles everyday it might be a desired future before it settles My look pierces into futilities for a better look at my pieces A word takes new directions at a time of new fiction or love befalls without resistance and I learn another dance My mouth guesses your name the one that will attain my bottom before I turn insane Veroflame August 17th 2006 Copyright ©2006 Johanne Farmer
