I couldn't stare into the sun
Or smell the blazing heat of dust Eternity was here, and gone For Her's my unforgiving lust I could not lie, nor say a word For thoughts of crimson all were gone And stars had died beneath the light Of that which once had been our sun A grain of sand in which lies trapped The desert lost, the dust of life A sleeping rose, when sunset died Or storms of love, endorsed in lie And it has turned to smoke around But I remained, in rotten shame My sight still sunken in the ground Surrounded by the burning flame And yet my scream is only lost I witness my despairing lust Hope, as we know, dies last But all else crumbled in the past Twisted mind, and shapeless thought As always, I have lost all hope Remembrance where I should belong Now once again must be alone.
