to gaze upon such beauty
with so much longing
is criminal in the extreme

to know that glory is untouchable
so very far from possible
is punishment without hope

to be consigned to purgatory
with no discernable promise
is to languish eternally

to know intimately that tomb
the isolation from paradise
is an unendurable existance

but life without that beauty
those eyes and that voice
is by far the worse hell
