I long to hear you speaking again,
To ask you if you are happy And to retort of course I am. My cheeks would painfully smile And you would ask me what’s up. Yet I would answer it’s nothing. I miss you ordering pizza for me That I would not finish, Pour me a glass of beer And tell me look, it’s golden! I would smile at you childishly through the glass And you would already know What I am going to say next. I wish you open your bag full of cash on the table, To deny me paying my bill, To buy me as if I were a jade-eyed slave, To mesmerize me with jewels, dresses and make-up, To drive me slowly in Mercedes as if I were a queen Of the neighbourhood. I would say nothing And you’d ask me what’s up? What’s happened? I need your reassuring voice. I know I would not understand Everything that you say.
