It lays in the hinge
where the bindery of life confers
holds its weight upon the pages
that each in turn a passage fills
holds to the essence of what we are
or the destiny of the fabled write
As to where we go.
This ancient manuscript
where pages delicate, bridge the wars of life
lays structured deep within our framework
Holds the key message of life
and opens into such a profound network
of lessons, tales and dreams
But here! within all the works
we are held together each and all
every act, deed and thought arrayed
To the hinges that bind it all together
This book we call life.
