you said you'd never look back
and you never did our last day together you took my hand and let me enter your secret place at the beginning there was dark and fear then I met this little boy standing in front of a wall with a threatening look in his eyes unexpectedly he stepped away allowing me to see over the wall an amazing red tulips garden and on that particular second between two beatings of the hart I heard the little boy whispering here I am guarding day from night crossing endless borders of lives growing red tulips from each hart that pounded for me *** you said you'd never look back and you never did but I do feel a red tulip growing through my chest running from night searching for light waiting for you and I really hate this helpless feeling of envy for the way you keep building your immortality
