There are wonderful ages ahead
when stars’ cold equilibrium shall be broken, and when the rows of those walked past shall meet those walking presently. Man, o how many bodies he’s had and how many still to be tried on for life! Man! how many bodies does it take to see him fed up to his limits of this unstable sphere! We’ll end up devouring this blue earth completely. We’ll consume it, consume it. We’ll throw away its head and bones, and Man, insatiable Man, with one billion bodies shall start devouring hungrily stars’ cold equilibrium. (adapted translation Axel H. Lenn)
