Sometimes She Is Named Woman

She is blind because
someday she dared
to look in his eyes
and see some tears.

One day
he pulled out her eyes
to something see nevermore.

She turned stone because
during his coldest night,
she dared to shelter him inside
her bride’s train, still white.

One day
he rent her wedding dress
to be spotless nevermore.

Now her wings get burnt
because trying to fly,
trying to reach the sky,
blinded being,
stony being
she amounted too near to the sun.

Sometimes she is named woman.
Sometimes she is named wanton.

But ever more her inviolate soul
has to pull through on his own.
And who knows, maybe someday
redeeming her lace
she will find a place.
